New Zealand Red Stag hunting on the South Island

Or Call: 1-800-346-8747

Description

Hunt New Zealand red stag, tahr and chamois with South Pacific Safaris. Mike and Deborah Wilks excellent reputation and over 20 years’ experience for consistently producing beautiful trophies speaks for itself. Hunt the mighty red stag, elk(wapiti), fallow buck, wild boar, ram and trophy goat on their 4,000 acre ranch where their luxury hunting lodge and chalets are located, looking out over the Pacific Ocean and bush clad gullies. Excellent sea and river fishing is right on their back door. The big old bull tahr and chamois are hunted either with the assistance of the helicopter to gain access into the rugged peaks of the Southern Alps or, if you are up to the physical challenge of an alpine hunt, you can breathe cool, fresh air as you hike the mountains in what is regarded as some of New Zealand's very best tahr and chamois country.

Relax after the day hunting beside the open fire with a glass of New Zealand's award winning wine from the region and enjoy fresh, local seafood, venison and if available lobster, cooked by their in house chef.
The luxurious Glencree lodge located on the East coast of the South Island features 5-star accommodations overlooking the Pacific Ocean and bush clad mountains and is the only one of its type in New Zealand. Luxury accommodation with four double bedrooms with private en-suite bathrooms, heated marble floors and spacious living areas.

Non hunters are welcome with plenty to see and do. The ranch is close by the seaside town of Kaikoura, New Zealand's marine capitol. Whale watching, dolphin swimming, ocean and bush walks are just a few of the options available. Hunting New Zealand is an adventure you won't soon forget.
