Northern B.C. Canadian Moose Hunt

Outfitter #012
from
$17,500
Species:
Location:
Method:
Rifle, Archery, Muzzleloader
Dates:

September – October

Northwestern British Columbia is home to some of the largest Canada moose and this hunt concession has produced some tremendous bulls in recent years.  During the month of September and into early Octobert they run a series of horseback hunts from cabins and spike camps as well as a few lake based hunts where you hunt by boat.  They take just a few hunters at a time, guided 1×1 or 2×1.  The horseback hunts can be combined with mountain caribou.  This outfitter takes some phenomenal moose each season. Their photos speak for themselves. The current outfitter and head guide has owned the operation since 2007 and worked for the previous outfitter for many years.  Your adventure begins with a scenic float plane flight into a remote base camp.  Base camp consists of a simple guest cabin that can accommodate a few hunters plus a cook cabin.  You may hunt from base camp or from a remote satellite camp.  This adventure takes place is some spectacular country and you will need to be in good physical condition to be successful.  Expect long days in the saddle covering lots of country in search of a trophy bull.  The lake hunts are guided 2×1 and are a bit less physically demanding as you typically cover the shoreline by boat in search of your bull.  Short hikes back in to the timber to call and glass may also take place.
