Description
Did you know Texas has some of the best Mule Deer around? Mule Deer hunting is one of the most popular and sought after hunts in North America. These hunts are conducted on private ranches with only 4 to 6 hunters per ranch per year. Tags are limited.
West Texas and the Panhandle offer some phenomenal Mule Deer hunting. In Texas, it’s all private landowner tags, with an over the counter license. This outfitter has access to multiple different private ranches with around 225,000 acres total. Some ranches may offer a higher chance at a large trophy, with a lower shot opportunity; while other ranches will almost offer a good chance at deer that reach 170" and sometimes better. All of their ranches are on MLDP (Managed Land Deer Permits) which allows you a longer season. Mule Deer season will open the first Saturday of November and run all the way through the end of January. That gives you three months to hunt multiple different phases with a rifle! This also allows them to keep strict management of their herds, and keep a high quality genetic pool.
