Mexico Pacific Coast Fishing - A Great Value

Located in the middle of what is known as Costa Grande, this 150 mile stretch of Pacific coastline from Acapulco to Lazaro Cardenas has been rated the #2 place in the world for sailfish by Sportfishing Magazine. The area has an incredible amount of structure offshore due to the Sierra Madre, and offers good fishing for Pacific sailfish, tuna, wahoo, mahi mahi, roosterfish, and even the occasional black marlin. Despite the great angling, you'll probably be the only boat on the water.

Located 50 miles south of Ixtapa, this sleepy fishing village (about 100 residents) is hidden away from the crowds and traffic of Mexico's tourist destination. This no frills fishing lodge is a hand-made adobe building featuring seven bedrooms, each with a private bath, and air-conditioning. Resting along a half-moon shaped beach, the lodge provides an old world Mexico experience. You'll fish from pangas (local Mexican fishing boat) with local guides who know these waters well. We recommend this trip for the budget minded angler whose main focus is on the fishing and not fancy accommodations and non-fishing activities.

"The fishing was good, the meals were very good and the lodge was very nice" (L.M.)
