Outfitter #630

Northwestern Colorado Elk Hunting

Northwest Colorado is home to some of the highest densities of elk in North America.  These properties are enrolled in Colorado's Ranching For Wildlife and total about 60,000 private acres. No draw is required, simply show up and purchase your license from the outfitter, and start hunting!  The October elk hunts are three days and take place on about a 15,000 acre ranch in the high country.  The later season hunts are five days and take place on the lower wintering grounds.  This time of year it's not uncommon to see several dozen elk a day including some nice bulls in their late season bachelor groups.  This is a traditional Western spot and stalk hunt, accessing the properties by way of 4x4 pickups and UTV's, etc. This seasoned outfitter has lived in this area his entire life and knows these animals and their travel habits very well.  If you are looking for a quality hunt with lots of game at a great price then this is your hunt! A comfortable hunting lodge with plenty of good meals will be your home away from home.  Spots are limited, give WTA a call to get some more insight on this hunt. 630
