August – October
A quality caribou hunt is getting harder and harder to find. Northern British Columbia is home to the mountain caribou sub-specie, one of the largest species of caribou, with heavy palmated antlers. Very impressive trophies! These caribou typically are not migratory, but more of a resident specie, almost like elk hunting. You’ll find solitary bulls and small herds at times. This 2,000 square mile concession has a healthy population of trophy bulls. You’ll fly to Smithers BC by commercial airline and overnight, renting a vehicle for the scenic drive to Dease Lake, where you’ll catch a float plane into some of the most breathtaking country left in North America. You’ll hunt by horseback from a comfortable spike camp in search of your trophy bull. Don’t pass up this opportunity to hunt a big mountain caribou! #012
