$6,750
Location:
Method:
Rifle, Archery, Muzzleloader
Dates:

Our outfitter hunts all valid season dates for which a tag can be issued in Unit 61.

This unit has proven itself to be one of Colorado’s top trophy units. Unit 61 is a very diverse unit ranging from 4500 feet in elevation to 9500 feet. Due to the diversity of the terrain in this unit we can accommodate hunters of almost any physical condition.

You will find a high bull to cow ratio that gives unit 61 a nice long rut. Typically, the rut starts in early September, bulls are often times seen active until mid-October. This area has a great population of bulls from 300-330″. Bulls up to 365″ are found roaming the unit but are usually in places more physically demanding to hunt. If you are lucky enough to draw this coveted elk tag you may also purchase a bear license over the counter. If a bear is taken during the hunt a $1,200 trophy fee will be assesed.

Hunts are fully furnished and 1 on 1 guided. Camp is on private property and very easy to access. Lodging is a very nice wall tent camp with XL cots.Only 2 hunters per 15×18 tent and only 4-6 hunters in camp. Tents are off the ground on hard wood decks, wood and propane heat are provided in each tent. Camp is complete with a clean outhouse and quality camp shower. A separate tent will act as the dining quarters. A cook will be in camp on all hunts providing two hot meals and a great sack lunch.

Early season camp is located at 9200′.On heavy snow year’s 3rd & 4th season we will relocate to our winter range camp at 5500′. Transportation on this hunt will be small Toyota trucks and side by side utvs.
