South Dakota Bison- First Class Lodge
Or Call: 1-800-346-8747
There is no other animal in the United States that is more tied to our country's history than the American Bison. Once numbering in the millions, they roamed the prairies and beyond. After the railroads and early settlers moved into Midwest in the mid to late 1800’s, the Bison numbers were decimated to near extinction. Through extensive efforts by hunters, and their desire to recover, these American treasures are now rebounding all over the country. For the sportsman looking to hunt this iconic North America Big Game animal, there is no better location than the prairies of western South Dakota. WTA, has recently partnered up with one of South Dakota’s premier hunting lodges to offer a first class Bison hunt on the native prairie. With access to thousands of acres of private lands, hunters can spot and stalk the prairie, river bottoms and rolling hills as the settlers did hundreds of years ago. All hunts are conducted by experienced guides during the months of December & January. During this time, the bison have their full winter coat, making it an exceptional trophy. In addition to your 2 day guided bison hunt, you may elect to add on wild pheasant, sharp-tail or prairie chicken hunting depending on season. This combination hunt is the ultimate South Dakota package!
Accommodations are a first class lodge for dining and recreation with each hunter having their own private cabin and bath. The cabins provide each guest a stunning view of historic Lake Oahe. At each days end, you and your hunting partners will be treated to delicious hors d'oeuvre’s followed by a gourmet meal prepared by a professional chef. This hunting is a South Dakota hunting experience like none other and early reservations are required.
