Outfitter #003

Free Range Southwest Texas Aoudad

Aoudad season is open year-round; however, this outfitter hunts Aoudad day after Thanksgiving until the end of April. These hunts are 2-on-1 guided and are 4 full days of hunting. All Aoudad are free ranging on working cattle ranches. Aoudads were introduced in west Texas in the 1960s, and they have adapted well (some would say too well) as there is no shortage of sheep on these properties. They offer a great hunt after most of the seasons have closed throughout the west. With no draw and an over-the-counter license, last-minute hunts can be put together. For hunters living in snow-covered cold country and counting the days for spring turkey season, the Aoudad hunt offers a challenging warm winter hunt. West Texas will be the location of your hunt, near the town of Marfa in the Chinati Mountains. Make your flight arrangements into El Paso or Midland Texas. Drive time from either city is about 2 1/2 hours. The outfitter will meet you in Marfa and make the 30 minute drive to camp. Meals and lodging will be included for the duration of the hunt. If you are interested in this fantastic hunt give us a call and talk to a consultant about availability.
