Description

Southern Colorado offers some of the best elk hunting in the country and some of the best genetics in the state. The area consists of mostly private ranches where licenses can easily be purchased over-the-counter. This hunt takes place on 12,000 private acres that is surrounded by other private ranches managed for trophy elk hunting. Latest population studies, on an adjoining ranch, shows that this area has a 60 bull to 100 cow ratio. We plan to take small groups of 4 bow hunters at a time. The property ranges from 7,500 feet in elevation to 12,000 feet. The two-bedroom log cabin is located on the ranch and your hunt will start when you walk out the front door. The cabin is beautiful and features a living room with big screen satellite tv, dining area, kitchen. There are two huge bedrooms (with 4 twin beds each) and two private baths. A deck overlooks the property. This hunt offers a very realistic chance at harvesting a 300"+ bull. The past couple of archery seasons have produced some great bulls including a handful that scored over 300" including a 343". The professional staff and cook will meet your every needs and give you a quality hunt to experience and to remember for a lifetime. As an added bonus, trout fishing is available right at your doorstep!
