This action-packed elk hunt takes place in the high country of northern Colorado on over 16,000 private acres of prime elk habitat. This part of Colorado is home to one of the largest elk herds in the country and it’s not uncommon to see several bulls each day on this hunt. A limited number of hunters are taken each year to ensure a quality hunt, and everyone will have their own guide. This property has produced a high success rate on 5×5 and 6×6 bulls in the 250″-280″ class and bigger.
The season kicks off in September during the archery season when the bulls are bugling. This is the most exciting time of year to hunt elk. There’s nothing more exciting than having your guide cow call a bugling bull within bow range!
This is a perfect location to bring along your spouse or non-hunting guest. Some of the other activities and amenities available include a full-service spa, exercise room, horseback riding, trap shooting, and fly fishing. Each party will have a private cabin with all of the amenities of home. You will stay in beautifully-appointed, spacious rooms that guarantee first-class comfort and solitude. Most of the guest rooms feature stone fireplaces with western style furnishings that will make you feel perfectly at home. We recommend this hunt primarily for the hunter wanting to bring a non-hunting spouse and family.
