Outfitter #225

Cantabrian Chamois: April – November

Pyrenean Chamois: May – December

Roe deer: April – Dec

Wild boar: Year around

Chamois hunting in the high mountain chains of Northern Spain.
The Chamois resembles a goat, but in fact it is more closely related to the goral than the goats. They have a very distinctive appearance. In summer their coloration is light brown, while in winter they become darker in appearance. The most familiar feature associated with them is the black and white markings on their head. Both rams and ewes have horns which curve backwards however the ram’s horns are heavier and curve farther back than the ewe’s.
The Pyrenean Chamois is hunted in the Pyrenean Mountains on the border of France and is approximately a 5 hour drive from Madrid.
The Cantabrian Chamois is hunted in the Northern province of Leon and is about 4 hours’ drive north of Madrid.
Lodging is in nice local resorts with all meals included.
