This is a high quality hunt near Craig, Colorado with a 3rd generation outfitter. The elk hunting is high volume, meaning you should see several bulls each day with high success five and six point bulls. The terrain is very mild on the private land you’ll be hunting and the accommodations are comfortable and the meals are excellent. Licenses for archery elk and second and third season rifle elk is over-the-counter.  A few combination elk and deer hunts are available during second and third seasons.  Hunters will need to apply for the deer licenses (early April deadline), but landowner vouchers may also be available for purchase.  This offers the client a chance at not only hunting elk, but also some great bucks in the 160+ B&C class.

For those of you with Colorado mule deer preference points this area also offers a fourth season mule deer tag. Minimum points required to draw this tag is typically 10 or more. This season coincides with the mule deer rut and clients will be hunting deer in the 180+ B&C caliber. Hunt will be conducted from polaris rangers and, if necessary, horseback – please inquire.
