Colorado White River National Forest Elk Hunt

Outfitter #206
Rifle, Archery

Archery: September (5 Day Hunts)

Rifle: October/November (5 Day Hunts)

This affordable elk hunt near Craig, Colorado is run by a 3rd generation outfitter. You will be hunting public land, however; the area you will be hunting is surrounded on three sides by private ranches. The outfitter has permission to access the private to get clients into the hunt area, and by accessing the country via horseback, the hunting pressure is further minimized. Shot opportunity for both rifle hunters and archers will push 100% on nice five and six point bulls. Clients will need to be in relatively decent shape for this National Forest elk hunt. Accommodations will be from high quality wall tents and the meals are excellent. If you’ve been on a few elk hunts in the past and your experience was less than stellar, give this hunt a try. You will not be disappointed with the amount of game in the area, and the professionalism and knowledge of this outfitter and his staff.
