September – November  5 -day hunts

This DIY elk hunt takes place on private lands located in western CO. Although the properties are not extremely large, they are perfect properties for small groups and offers exclusivity to groups of 4 or more. The land owner has planted strategic food plots of alfalfa in combination with watering areas that the elk frequent daily. You and your hunting partners will be briefed on the property upon arrival and then it’s up to you. As this is a DIY hunt, it is up to you to hunt the property smart. The area holds a good number of elk and past hunters have reported being into elk daily with high shot opportunities. The outfitter will have a number of ground blinds for you to hunt from within the elk travel corridors. This region of CO isn’t necessarily known for big bulls but it is known for the number of elk in the area. This hunt does not include meals or lodging however, lodging is available in Meeker CO which is only a 20 minutes’ drive from the hunt location. Purchase over the counter archery license prior to arrival.


Private property, use of blinds and property tour with maps.


Meals, lodging, trophy care of elk.


It is reccomended that you drive to Meeker CO, landowner will meet and give property tour.

Hunt Style

Physical Level:

Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.

Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.

Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.

Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
