Northern Alberta contains a vast, almost endless forest that has experience little to no change over the last 100 years. The area is comprised of traditional boreal forest with intermittent clear cuts and littered with small streams and wetland areas, all of which create ideal moose habitat. Hunting pressure is minimal as the area is extremely remote and difficult to access.  The outfitter for this hunt has operated within the area for 10+ years hunting moose and trapping.

ATV’s, side by sides or Argo’s (amphibious vehicles) will be used to access the area. Hunts will be conducted during the rut with calling being the primary hunting method utilized. You can expect to setup over marshes, clear cuts, and old logging roads, calling in a bull moose can easily be the highlight of any hunter’s career. Hunters can expect to pursuit bulls in the 40-55+ inch class with extremely high shot opportunity and yearly harvest hovering around 90%.

Accommodations for the hunt will consist of outfitter style wall tents equipped with cots, astroturf floors and a wood stove. A separate dining tent will be used to cook, serve meals and act as a central gathering area for the hunt.
