Northern Alberta contains a vast, almost endless forest that has experienced little to no change over the last 100 years. The area is comprised of traditional boreal forest that contains a plethora of streams, lakes, and wetlands with intermittent clear cuts, all of which create ideal bear habitat. Hunters are allowed two bears per person on this trip. The outfitter has operated within the area for 10+ years hunting bear, moose, and trapping.

Hunts within the area will be conducted over established bait sites that are monitored with trail cameras. Bear populations are high, most baits will have multiple bears utilizing them, but the outfitter does focus on taking mature boars. Traditionally speaking you will not hunt in the mornings, during this time you can relax at camp or assist the guides in checking cameras and replenishing baits. You can expect to be in the stand mid-afternoon each day and sit until dark. Daylight hours are extremely long during the timeframe hunts are conducted. Stands will consist of quality lock on stands with ladders. Ground blinds will also be utilized for those that do not wish to sit in stands. Archery and crossbow hunters can expect shots inside 30 yards and rifle hunters should be equipped to shoot up to 80 yards. Nearly every hunter will have the opportunity to harvest two trophy bears during the course of a hunt.

Accommodations for the hunt will consist of outfitter style wall tents equipped with cots, astroturf floors and a wood stove. A separate dining tent will be used to cook, serve meals and act as a central gathering area for the hunt.
