2020 Seasons

The Colorado Parks & Wildlife have yet to set 2020 season dates, once dates are final we will update clients.

This 20,000+ acre northern Colorado ranch offers an elk hunt like nothing you’ve ever experienced. The property varies greatly from irrigated crop pivots surround by rolling prairie that leads up to foothills and canyons. Very few trees are present throughout the ranch making it very easy to spot elk as they filter through the waist to chest high brush. Resident herds of elk, deer, and antelope can be found year round on the ranch with an influx of migrating deer showing up in late October each year.

The track record of successful hunts on this ranch is second to none. Hunters have experienced 100% shot opportunity over the last few years regardless of weapon choice. Archery, muzzle loader, and rifle hunts will utilize a mixture of spot and stalk techniques as well as calling. Bulls tend to readily respond to calling on the ranch which makes for a truly exciting hunt during the rut timeframe. You can expect to glass vast amounts of country, especially during the rifle seasons, and once a suitable bull is found, a stalk will be planned to get to a suitable shooting position. If your intention is to have a phenomenal elk hunting experience and harvest mature five or six point bull, this hunt is perfect for you!

Combination hunts for elk and mule deer are available during all seasons but are extremely limited. Prime dates for combo hunts have historically been during early archery season or the 3rd and 4th rifle seasons as a large influx of migrating mule deer tend to work onto the ranch. Taking great representatives of both species is very realistic during a five day hunt.

Lodging consists of a basic but ample three bedroom, two bathroom house located on the ranch. A full time cook will be present to provide three delicious meals a day. Bulls will often times be heard bugling and occasionally spotted right from the lodge.

Licenses can be drawn for elk and deer with 0 preference points making this a very simple hunt to plan. If you are saving preference points please inquire on available landowner vouchers. If you have questions regarding this hunt, would like to get booked, or would like assistance applying into the Colorado draw – please contact WTA TAGS at 1-800-755-TAGS(8247) or email us at [email protected]
