This northern Colorado mule deer hunt could be like nothing you have ever experienced.  This property is home to an abundance of deer, with bucks in the 160-175 range being very common.  If your intention is to harvest a mature buck, this is the perfect hunt. The ranch has a wide array of topography – from irrigated crops leading-up to sage covered hills and rocky outcroppings – it’s sure to please. When a ranch contains so much diversity it creates a fun and unique hunt. Overall this hunt is not physically demanding, however, you will need to be able to do some light hiking at times when stalking in. Combination hunting for elk is a possibility – please inquire. High success velvet, archery mule deer hunts are also available for those hunters looking to add a unique mount to the collection.

Lodging consists of a basic but ample three bedroom, two bathroom house located on the ranch. A full time cook will be present to provide three delicious meals a day.

Licenses can be drawn for elk and deer with 0 preference points making this a very simple hunt to plan. If you are saving preference points please inquire on available landowner vouchers. Tags can be drawn wit 0-1 point for both species. Landowner vouchers are also available but need to be pre-arranged.

Lodging consists of a basic but ample three bedroom, two bathroom house located on the ranch. A full time cook will be present to provide three delicious meals a day.


Hunters will need to fly into Denver, Colorado. They will then rent a vehicle and drive to Wellington, Colorado.

Hunt Style

Physical Level:

Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.

Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.

Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.

Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
