June-September
Located some 300 miles north of Winnipeg lies some of the best mixed bag fishing for lake trout, northern pike, and walleye in all of Canada! Accessible only by aircraft, this remote island lodge offers all of the creature comforts of home. The main lodge is rich with history and features the dining area where delicious meals are served. Each guest cabin is equipped with two single beds, oil or electric heat, hot shower, living room, and deck overlooking the lake. Many of the guides have spent their entire lives fishing and exploring these waters, and will do all they can to make sure you have the trip of a lifetime! You’ll fish from comfortable 18’ boats equipped with 40 hp outboards. World-class lake trout fishing is the main reason anglers visit this area and it’s consistent all season long. The area is also an incredible walleye fishery with Master Angler trophies (28”) released every year. In fact, some guests return just for the walleye fishing. Plus there’s no better shore lunch over an open fire! Big northerns are also common with plenty of pike in the 10-16 lb. range released each season (lodge record is 32 lbs.!) Fly outs are also available for trophy brook trout, which is some of the best in the world. Once your private charter touches down at the lodge’s airstrip, you’ll be greeted by a friendly staff who will escort you and your luggage to your cabin. Bring your appetite as you won’t go hungry here! Fresh brewed coffee will be delivered to your cabin each morning followed by a hearty breakfast before a full day on the water. All tackle can also be provided for a nominal fee.
