Approximately the first two weeks of October.
Come hunt the peak of the rut in Northern Saskatchewan for bull moose. The first two weeks of October is a great time to be in the north woods with a moose tag in your pocket. This area produces some great bulls with a minimal amount of outside hunting pressure. The outfitter only takes a couple of hunters a year and focuses on quality, not quantity.
This 10 day hunt is conducted out of a comfortable lodge along a vast river system. You will traverse the river and numerous connected lakes by boat, glassing and calling along the way. If necessary, you and your guide may set up a spike camp to access some of the more remote areas. You will be targeting bulls in the 40”-50” range, with a high shot opportunity. All hunts are 1×1 with good experienced guides.
The views are amazing and the hunting is top notch. At the end of the day you will come back to camp, where you will enjoy a hot shower and home cooked meals. The outfitter offers free pickup and drop-off at the airport in Saskatoon, SK saving you the money and hassle of a rental car. Contact WTA today to book your spot.
