This hunt takes place in the shadows of the Bighorn Mountains near the town of Kaycee, Wyoming. This high desert country, ranges in elevation from 5,000- 7,500 feet, and will vary from gently rolling sagebrush hills – containing creek bottoms, juniper trees and rocky outcroppings – to semi mountainous landscapes,

Being a third generation rancher in this area has allowed our outfitter to amass over 200,000 acres of pristine, privately owned and landlocked BLM ground exclusively for clients. Although some of the country is rough, a developed road network exists, allowing hunters of all physical abilities to have an enjoyable experience.

Mule deer are plentiful within the area and under a strict, self-imposed management program that targets 5+ year old bucks. In totality eight mule deer are taken off the leases each year. Bucks will score between 155-170+. Antelope numbers in this portion of Wyoming are truly staggering. Hunters can elect to harvest a second antelope buck on a trophy fee basis.

The hunt is conducted using pickups to travel from one high vantage point to another, stopping to glass in search of a suitable mule deer or antelope buck. Once a desired animal is located the final stalk will be made on foot. Shot distances will vary based off individual circumstances, but one should expect average distances to be 200-300 yards. This is an action packed, high success hunt that any sportsman will enjoy.

Lodging will be found at a hotel in Kaycee and meals will be ate at local diners or restaurants.  Food and lodging is included in the price of the hunt.
