Texas Antelope Hunts

Outfitter #141

This outfitter hunts on over 300,000 acres that is broken up into 6,000- to 20,000-acre individual blocks. It isn’t uncommon to see hundreds of antelope a day. Texas is a place that has always been known for upper echelon antelope, and this location is no exception. Trophy potential is up overall, and with good rainfall seasons, it makes for one of the best opportunities in the United States, especially without having to break the bank. The outfitter’s goal is to only shoot 14″+ inch bucks that will score in the mid 70s or bigger. Every year they harvest bucks that meet and or exceed the B&C minimum and bigger.

Most of the hunting is by vehicle, checking properties until a shooter buck is located. Spot and stalk is the main approach once a buck is spotted that you want to hunt. If you would like them to provide a long range rifle, please converse with a WTA representative as far in advance as possible. Weather can be somewhat inconsistent, with wind and rain in the 40s, or sunny and 80 degrees. Check the weather forecast prior to the hunt and pack accordingly for the variable temperatures. No orange vest or hat are needed, and you can buy your antelope hunting license online or at any store in Texas. As an add-on, you can hunt predators and all the ground hogs you want to shoot at during your trip.
