Red stag roar – mid-March to mid-April
Prime time for tahr and chamois is mid-May to mid-July, prime winter capes
This is one of the top outfitters in New Zealand, with more than 30Â years of experience. Hunts are conducted on both the south and north islands for tahr, chamois, sika deer, fallow deer, wild boar and the biggest stags in the world. More than 500 gold medal stags have been taken by his clients, including numerous SCI No. 1 trophies. The south island offers breathtaking views of the New Zealand Alps along with fantastic tahr and chamois hunting. Few outfitters can offer foot hunts for tahr, as well as exhilarating helicopter hunts, but this one can. Success has been 100% on all species. The north island offers superb accommodations and excellent meals along with the best stag hunting found anywhere. There is nothing more exciting than hearing the call of a big red stag during the roar. One of the few outfitters in all of New Zealand who can offer big stags in a fair-chase area as it is only fenced on one side, they also offers hunts on his estate. Non-hunters are welcome and will receive personalized attention. They can enjoy everything from sightseeing to shopping and riverboat rides. If you are looking for a great hunt, lots of fun and a safe place to go, New Zealand is your destination. Don’t delay.
