Alaska Yukon Moose Trophy Hunts
Or Call: 1-800-346-8747
This high success Alaska-Yukon trophy moose hunt takes place in the Alaska Range and borders a National Park. The outfitter takes very few moose hunters each season (3-4 total) and has built a great reputation for offering some of the better moose hunting in the state. This guide-exclusive area is very rich in wildlife and is known for producing trophy bulls, some in excess of 60"!. No other guide or outfitter can hunt this area, it's exclusive to this outfitter and their hunters only. This concession is located some 180 miles northwest of Anchorage on the west side of the Alaska Range and covers 160 square miles of private property. The camps consist of wall tents and or bomb shelter tents on a good size lake. Tents are equipped with comfortable cots and wood burning stoves. Transportation and access to this camp is via float plane. These ten day moose hunts can be combined with grizzly on a trophy fee basis. A typical moose hunting day starts around 6 am with a full breakfast. All moose camps are smack dab in the middle of prime moose habitat. Once daylight breaks, a quick and careful inspection of the area is conducted. That big bull just might be standing in the lake where camp is located. You'll then take a 30 minute hike up to a high point (“look out”) to glass for the day. From the look out, prepare to get settled in for the majority of the day and let your optics do all the work. Periodically the guide will preform a series of moose calls in order to bring out or bring in that big bull. September is the “rutting” period for moose. Bull moose become very vocal and tend to travel a tremendous amount in their search for cows. Patience is the “key” while moose hunting as a big bull can appear out of nowhere.
