Wyoming Unit 123 Trophy Elk Hunt

Unit 123 in the Rochelle hills of Wyoming is one of the most coveted tags in the state. In the past this area was only open every third year. It typically to close to max points or you had to purchase a commissioner tag. The area is now open every year and is issuing a few more tags. Until we have more data it will be hard to accurately predict the points that will be required to draw. But we do know that if you are lucky enough to draw this tag you will have a great hunt. This unit has produced some great bulls over the years, and our outfitter has some of the best private land in the unit. Another great feature of this hunt is you get to hunt with a rifle in the bugle. The rifle season opens September 1st and closes October 15. Trophy expectations are 300-320 with the possibility of bigger bulls.

This is a 5 day hunt. The ranch is 50,000 acres. Most of this is private land but there is some public ground. There is a mixture of open prairie, rough cuts and buttes, and timbered ridges. This area is accessible by pickup or UTV. Physically almost anyone can do this hunt. Meals and lodging consist of a clean comfortable guest house with good homecooked meals.
