4 – Open Spots September 24-28
Northwest Colorado is known for its abundance of wildlife, and this area supports one of the highest densities of elk found anywhere in the country. The combination of quality habitat, limited hunting pressure, and extensive private land access creates an outstanding opportunity for archery elk hunters. The moderate terrain also allows the guides to accommodate hunters of varying physical abilities.
This family-owned operation offers fully guided archery elk hunts on approximately 12,000 acres of private land, along with permitted access to neighboring landlocked public ground that is inaccessible to the general public. The outfitter intentionally limits the number of hunters each season to maintain a quality hunting experience and minimize pressure on the elk.
Hunts are conducted using a combination of calling, spot-and-stalk tactics, and ambush setups over water sources and known travel corridors. Depending on elk activity and conditions, hunters may spend time covering country in 4×4 pickups or side-by-sides before moving into position on active bulls. Strategically placed blinds provide effective options throughout the season.
Accommodations are currently being upgraded with a fully remodeled ranch house that will serve as the hunting lodge. Upon completion, the lodge will feature five bedrooms and five bathrooms, providing comfortable accommodations for hunters during their stay.
After filling a tag, hunters can enjoy trout fishing in the property’s ponds or the nearby Yampa River.
