This premier lodge is a peaceful alpine retreat tucked into the foothills of New Zealand’s Southern Alps. It offers guests a one-of-a-kind wilderness hunting experience in a stunning, remote setting. Perched above the valley floor, this premier lodge gives you uninterrupted views of the Rangitata River and surrounding mountain peaks. Inside, you’ll find cozy, well-appointed rooms and gourmet meals prepared daily by an in-house high country chef.

What makes this premier lodge truly special is the land—55,000 acres of private, untouched alpine country, all yours to explore. Your hunting adventure starts right at the doorstep, with world-class opportunities to pursue majestic bull tahr, elusive chamois, and powerful red stag.

But there’s more to enjoy beyond the hunt. This premier lodge also offers a wide range of activities to round out your stay. Go jet boating on the river, play a round of golf nearby, or try your hand at trout and salmon fishing during the season. Take a scenic helicopter flight over glaciers and Mt. Cook, or tackle the white water on the Rangitata River. You can also spend the day exploring nearby towns like Geraldine, Fairlie, and Tekapo, or head out on horseback or foot to discover the lush forests nearby.

Getting here is easy. Most international flights land in Auckland, followed by a quick transfer to Christchurch. It’s best to arrive a day before your hunt and stay overnight in Christchurch. The next morning, your guide will meet you at your hotel, and you’ll enjoy a scenic two-hour drive to the lodge. Helicopter transfers are also available upon request.

Whether you’re an avid hunter or simply looking for a relaxing escape in the heart of New Zealand’s high country, this premier lodge offers the perfect mix of comfort, adventure, and natural beauty.
