Sept. 24-Oct. 1Â (max 5 hunters)
Oct. 3-10 (max 5 hunters)
This Alberta Moose hunt might be the perfect adventure for those looking for a solid representative bull and taking that meat home with them. Located in NW Alberta, this drive to camp is easily accessible via road, making taking meat home a cinch while still having a legit chance at a great representative bull. Hunters will arrive in the main camp and be transported along with their gear into the moose camp, which is approximately 25 miles by truck and 6 miles by ATV.  Once in camp, hunters will settle into a comfortable wall tent, all provided with cots and necessary bedding.
The hunt takes place along the winding river systems of NW Alberta, where you and your guide may travel by ATV or boat each day to areas traditionally producing strong rutting activity. These hunts are conducted only during the rut, so calling and glassing are vital to your success. Depending on the day or location you’re hunting, you may spend the entire day in the field with a packed lunch, and on other days, you will have the opportunity to return to camp for a midday snack.
Accommodations for this adventure include a traditional wall tent camp with good, hearty meals cooked on an open fire. Camp will have running water and a hot shower to clean up nightly if you desire. Wall tents have a wood-burning stove that will run when you return from a long day in the field. Call WTA for details on this great moose adventure.
