Eastern Colorado has become one of the best-known places in North America to hunt big mule deer. Being mostly private property, the deer have a chance to reach full maturity. If you have mule deer preference points for deer in Colorado, this hunt is definitely one to consider.
This hunt will be conducted from a 4×4 pick-up where you will explore a vast array of smaller private ranches looking for the deer of your liking. You will then hunt via spot-and-stalk with the occasional ground blind set-up being utilized. Shots range from 30-50 yards with a bow and 50-150 yards with a rifle. This is not your ordinary Colorado mule deer hunt. If you are not wanting to climb the mountains anymore or just want to enjoy a hunt that is not physically demanding, you should consider this adventure. This outfitter has hunted in this area over the last 17 years. It’s not uncommon to see over 50 deer a day on this hunt making for an extremely enjoyable experience. Trophy expectations are 160-175 B&C. However, on this mule deer hunt, there is always the possibility of harvesting an eastern plains giant.
Lodging will be at your expense. The outfitter will reserve a very comfortable two-bedroom, one-bath home on 30 acres for $150 per day (approx.). Breakfast and lunch are included with the hunt.
