About a hundred miles southwest of Des Moines, Iowa lies the tiny little town of Brooks. This middle-of-nowhere location holds some of the biggest whitetail deer in the state … in the country! WTA TAGS has teamed-up with a very professionally run outfit who controls about 6,500 unpressured acres in this prime location. This family-run operation is a true joy to spend your hunting vacation with. Their attention to detail is spot-on and their newly constructed lodge and wonderful home cooked meals round-out this wonderful experience.
For those looking for a solid 150 class whitetail hunt, with a very legitimate probability of harvesting a world class giant, this experience will not disappoint. Deer in the 170/180 class are seen each year by our clients and sometimes, with a combination of a lot of hard work a little skill and some luck, these booner bucks hit the dirt.
All of their farms are a short drive from the lodge and there are countless stand options regardless of wind direction. The lodge features three bedrooms, plus a large bathroom, laundry room, and kitchen/dining/living areas with big screen satellite tv.
If you have built your four preference points in Iowa, it’s time to cash-in for your archery tag. Bow hunting the November rut in the state of Iowa is pretty hard to beat, especially on the high-quality, private ground leased by this operation. If gun hunting is your game and you have two preference point, book the 1st shotgun (early Dec), 2nd shotgun (mid Dec) or late muzzleloader season (early Jan). If you don’t have any points call WTA TAGS today and get started. Life goes by quickly – don’t let another year pass you by.
