This action-packed turkey hunt takes place on several thousand acres of private land in Northwest Kansas and South-Central Nebraska.
Hunting Rios with this outfitter is a more exclusive experience. There will never be more than four hunters in camp, and in all actuality, most hunt periods will only host two hunters at any one time.
If you’re a bowhunter, take advantage of the early archery-only season in early April. It’s an exciting time of year to bowhunt turkeys, and it’s not uncommon to have long beards strut right into your decoys. This outfitter specializes in both archery and shotgun hunting, they do their homework and will have dozens of strategically-placed blinds set in key areas.
Once your first bird is harvested it’s just a short drive to the adjacent state (Kansas/Nebraska) where your second bird can be harvested on a trophy-fee basis.
To obtain a turkey tag in Kansas you will be required to enter a limited-entry drawing. WTA TAGS will handle this processes on your behalf. Drawing odds with zero points = 70% approx.
Turkey tags in Nebraska are obtained via “call-in” on a first come first served basis. The outfitter will be in contact with you just before call-in day.Â

Fly to Denver, CO, rent a vehicle, and drive four hours to the lodge near Norton, KS.
Sample Itinerary
Day 1: Depart home and fly to Denver, Colorado – rent a car and drive to the lodge near Norton, Kansas.
Days 2–4: Turkey hunt.
Day 5: Depart camp and begin your trip home.
Approach: Ground Blinds, Turkey Chairs, Spot and Stalk.
Equipment: Pick-ups, Decoys, Blinds, Chairs, Provided.
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
