Rifle – October (5 day hunt)
Archery – September (5 day hunt)
This hunt takes place in the game-rich southwestern corner of Wyoming on 100,000+ acres of pristine elk habitat. Hunts are operated by a team of professionals who take pride in offering not only a hunt, but an experience that will not soon be forgotten. The terrain varies from sagebrush bottoms to mountain tops ranging in elevation from 7,500–10,000 feet. These untouched lands offer breathtaking views around every corner.
Overall, elk populations here are quite high, with 5×5 and 6×6 bulls being the norm. Due to the robust elk herds and professional guides, WTA clients have historically been extremely successful on this trip, regardless of timeframe or weapon choice. Archers can expect to use a combination of the following hunting techniques: spot & stalk, calling, and sitting over water holes. Rifle hunts are conducted almost exclusively using spot & stalk methods. Transportation during the hunt will come by way of 4×4 trucks as well as UTVs. The developed road system on the ranch ensures an enjoyable experience can be had regardless of any physical limitations.
The lodge is nothing short of deluxe. It features 11 spacious bedrooms, bathrooms with large walk-in showers, three separate living rooms, a nice dining area, and two large flat-screen TVs. Delicious meals are prepared daily. Laundry service is also available. The lodge sits at 8,200 feet in elevation. A stocked trout pond is right out the backdoor of the lodge. Non-hunters will be more than comfortable here.
A General Elk Tag is required for this hunt. General tags are taking 2+ points to draw in the “special” and 5+ in the “regular” category for 2024 forward.
