Spring-April
Fall-August- Sepember
This Brown bear hunt takes place in the remote Tikchik Mountains of south central Alaska. The outfitting territory encompasses over 50,000 square miles of untouched Alaskan wilderness, bordering Bristol Bay and the Togiak Wildlife Refuge. This vast hunting area consists of a combination of state park concessions, native lease lands and state owned areas where the brown bear population is very healthy. This is one of the very few spring brown bear hunts in Alaska being conducted from a modern lodge, with all of the amenities and conveniences that go along with it. Hunters will return each day to a hot shower, great meals and a warm bed! This hunt is unique and very scenic, as all spring hunts are conducted by use of snowmobiles and experienced guides. Each day, hunters will leave the lodge before daybreak and ride through the many creek bottoms, lakes and drainages at the base of the Tikchik Mountains. Fall hunts are also offered on a limited basis. These hunts are conducted out of spike camps along the numerious river systems and drainages by spot, stalkd and glassing. Hunting reports over the past years have been extremely positive with high shot opportunities on mature bears from 8′ to 10′ +. Hunts are limited each year and advance reservations are required. #515
