Archery – Early September
Rifle – October
With a guaranteed draw for the archery mule deer permits, this is one of the most overlooked hunts in the country. This is a great chance at a trophy mule deer. This unit has long produced some of the top end deer in the state, and is an exceptional chance to harvest a Pope & Young mule deer with your bow. A few lucky hunters have taken deer in the 170 class and larger. Deer numbers are excellent.
These hunts are conducted by mostly spot and stalk. With long hours behind the glass, these highly skilled guides will locate and help you plan your stalk to get in close for a shot. With 100% opportunity over the past number of years, if you come ready for a spot and stalk style hunt, you should get your chance at one of these trophy mule deer.
This hunt offers two lodging options with the primary option being a modern lodge that offers all of the amenities of home. For those seeking a more rustic experience, you can elect to stay at a comfortable wall tent camp. Wall tents include wood floors and cots. There will also be camp showers set up for the duration of your hunt. Excellent food and a full time cook will make sure you are well fed during your stay regardless of the selected lodging option.
