This veteran guide has been targeting muskies since the early 1990s. His home waters of the Ottawa and St. Lawrence Rivers in Quebec offer some of the best muskie fishing in North America. The great big push from the mighty St. Lawrence offers a multitude of varying ecosystems along its travels to salt water. Its shades of color and structure transition from region to region, offering clarities of 24 feet of visibility to less than 3 feet. Rock structures and shoals with vast weed flats and sand bars offer a wide variety of prime habitat and forage. The neighboring Ottawa River stretches 120 miles and offers a variety of livable habitat. Vegetation is diverse and structure is abundant, offering miles of break lines to deep gorges. Being centrally located allows you to fish either river depending on the conditions and bite. Often referred to as the “fish of a thousand casts,” muskie fishing requires patience and persistence, so we recommend booking at least three or more days. A typical day can yield 1–3 fish including some real trophies. The summer months offer casting opportunities while the months of September–November are mostly trolling. You’ll fish from a comfortable Tracker Targa 195 (19 foot) with a 150 and electric trolling motor with all tackle provided. Lodging is provided at the outfitter’s home. A comfortable two-bedroom apartment with all food (cook on your own) is included.

“This was one of the best fishing trips I’ve been on and Dad had an outstanding time as well. You’re one of the best fishing guides I have fished with and you helped Dad knock this item off his bucket list. I really appreciate it. Thank you again!” J.M. (2014)
