The state of Arizona allows youth hunters the opportunity to apply for high-quality deer permits. With special season dates set aside specifically for youth hunters, these awesome deer hunts have some of the best drawing odds in the west. At 10 years old you can begin applying your child, and building his/her bonus points, for as little as $20 a year. Furthermore, should your child get lucky in the draw – WTA TAGS has teamed up with one of the most reputable outfitters in the state. Their attention to detail and professionalism makes this a perfect fit for these young hunters. Also upon drawing, your child will be given the opportunity to hunt the deer species of their choosing – either mule deer or Coues deer. Wall tent and RV style accommodations, as well as wonderful hot meals and youth friendly camps can be expected and will add to the overall memory being created for you and your child.

Fly to Albuquerque, NM or Phoenix, AZ – rent a car and drive to camp. Directions will be provided by outfitter.

Drawing odds in these units have been approx. 100% chance of drawing with as little as 4 bonus points depending on the unit
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
