The Mountain Caribou is one of North America’s most sought-after trophies and a great addition to any trophy room. It is no secret that the Mackenzie Mountains of the Northwest Territories are the go-to place for some of the largest mountain caribou in the world. This family-run operation has been successfully hosting trophy hunters for sheep, moose and caribou for over 40 years in two Canadian provinces. They are considered by most as one of the best. Their vast hunting territory spans approximately 7000 plus square miles and consists of pristine mountain drainages, rivers, streams, and mountain peaks. This hunting area is one of the most game-rich wilderness areas in all of Canada. All hunts are fully guided 2×1 or 1×1 by experienced guides with a passion and respect for big game hunting. Due to the vastness of the hunt area, this outfitter utilizes helicopter transfers to access tough to reach hunt areas from their base camp. This allows you and your guide to hunting the highest concentration of game in the territory which has provided hunters extremely high shot opportunities over the years. All hunts are wilderness backpack tent camp hunts. This is one of the most popular caribou hunts in all of Canada and early reservations are required.

Transportation
Fly to Norman Wells, NWT where you will be met by outfitter and charter to base camp.
Day 1: Fly to Edmonton AB, and overnight.
Day 2: Fly to Norman Wells NWT, oufitter will meet and transfer to base camp.
Day 3-11Â Hunt (9Â hunt days)
Day 12Â Charter back to Norman Wells, NWT and overnight

Hunt Style
Physical Level:
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
