This elk hunting adventure will take you to northwestern Wyoming just outside the town of Cody. This area encompasses vast amounts of rolling foothills and mountains that can only be explored through the use of experienced horses and knowledgeable guides. You can expect some light to moderate hiking but the horses will do the bulk of the work. In this area elk numbers are still strong, it is not uncommon to see multiple bulls in a day’s hunt. Success rates are near 100% every year. If you are looking to make your first trip out West or simply looking for a high quality elk hunting experience this hunt will not disappoint.
Each night you will return to a modern lodge that offers double occupancy rooms with multiple bathrooms as well as satellite TV and internet. A full-time cook will be in camp throughout the hunt to ensure you are well fed and taken care of.
A General Elk Tag is required for this hunt. General tags are taking 5+ points to draw in the “special” and 7+ in the “regular” category for 2024 onward. Lodging will consist of a very modern cabin that offers double occupancy rooms, multiple bathrooms as well as satelite t.v. and internet.
Transportation
Clients will need to fly into Cody, Wyoming where you will be met by a representative of the oufitter and tronsported to camp.
Hunt Style
Physical Level:
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
