Mule deer: Sept – Nov
The Sandhills of Nebraska are a diverse and unique landscape that are home to many animals and opportunities. This outfitter has built a reputation that stands alone in the quality of the hunt. Operating on over 100,000 acres of leased private ground coupled with an unprecidented management program he turns out mature animals year after year. Mule deer hunts are conducted spot and stalk style. Having grown up in the sandhills on his family ranch he knows how to find animals and navigate the terrain in order to get his clients in close. Shot opportunity with a bow or crossbow is in the 90% range on Mule deer. Nebraska is a full inclusion Crossbow state making it legal to use a crossbow during the regular archery season without retriction. You will be targeting deer that are 4.5 years old or older. He has a strict management program in place and he will not shoot younger deer as they have not had the chance to reach their full potential.
The only way a non-resident can hunt an antelope in Nebraska is with archery gear. Antelope hunts will be mostly conducted out of bale blinds on alfalfa fields. This has proven to be a very effective tactic. There is some spot and stalk opportunity available on antelope as well, but archers should be well practiced and ready to shoot 60-70 yards on spot and stalk hunts. These hunts are 5 day hunts, lodging is included but you must cook your own meals. The lodging is a fully equipped ranch house with everythign you’ll need to cook with, just bring your groceries.

If flying; Fly to Denver Colorado or Rapid City South Dakota where you will rent a car and drive to the ranch. Approx 3-4 hours.
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
