This exclusive 6,000 square mile hunting concession lies in the heart of the Mackenzie Mountains of the Northwest Territories. The area is known for its world-class hunting for trophy dall sheep, moose and mountain caribou. This outfitter offers both horseback and backpack hunts and is also one of the few remaining outfitters in the NWT that offers traditional horseback sheep hunts. All hunts are done from remote spike camps. High Success on either type of hunt on both species and the trophy quality is excellent. Single and multi-species hunts are conducted from mid-July through September. This is one of the top areas in the NWT for trophy class sheep, caribou and moose. Hunts are limited to 21 sheep per year and only a handful of combination hunts are conducted. Early reservations are required. #416

Horseback Hunt $38,000 + 5%GST (12 days)

Backpack Hunt $32,000 + 5%GST (10 days)

Caribou trophy fee is $10,000 & moose $18,500 (specific hunt dates for combo)

Your hunting licence is free in the Northwest Territories but species tags are $105.00 each.

Your licence and tags should be purchased in advance by filling out a hunting licence application form provided by outfitter.

Government of the NWT trophy fees are $420 each for Sheep, Moose and Caribou, and $210 each for wolf and wolverine.

These fees are payable to the Government of the NWT at the conclusion of your hunt.

Inclusions

1×1 guide, meals, tent camp/cabin accommodations, in-field transportation and care of trophy.

Exclusions

Charter Flight, Gratuities, License

$100 non-resident hunter preservation fee.

Transportation

Fly to Edmonton and overnight. The following morning take the first commercial flight to Norman Wells where you will be met and chartered to camp. Charter is approx. $1,300 round-trip.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Edmonton, Alberta and overnight.

Day 2:Depart Edmonton to Norman Wells and charter to camp.

Days 3-13: Dall sheep hunt.

Day 14:Charter from camp to Norman Wells and overnight.

Day 15: Depart Norman Wells in the afternoon for Edmonton. Overnight in Edmonton or continue your trip home.
