Outfitter #479

Alaska Mountain Goat Archery or Rifle Hunt

Description

These high quality, high success mountain goat hunts take place in the glacial inlets of Prince William Sound. This veteran outfitter has been successfully guiding goat hunters (including archers) for over 20 years in what many consider the best mountain goat hunting area in all of Alaska. The long term success rate is has been very high. The success rate is high because of the several core areas available to hunt, and the area is not over hunted.  Several billies taken here have qualified for the all-time Boone and Crockett record book.  This small, family-run outfit primarily operates on a Special Use Permit from the Chugach National Forest, which gives them over 2.5 million acres of pristine, game rich habitat to hunt.  They only take a limited number of hunters each season.  Unlike other areas that require you to hunt at 9,000' plus for these animals, this hunt begins at sea level and you'll rarely be hunting above 3,000'.  You'll be flown in to a base camp by bush plane where you and your guide will hike to a remote spike camp location to set up camp for the week.  A packer is also provided.  This is the ultimate spot and stalk hunt our hunters have reported getting several stalks in per day with shots coming in within close proximity. This is also our number one choice if you're an archery hunter!  No trophy room is complete without one of these awesome long-haired wonders so call today because availability is limited! Black bear may also be added for a trophy fee.
