October – December
The ringneck pheasant is one of North America’s most sought-after upland birds. This first-class hunting operation has some of the best pheasant hunting we have seen in the Dakotas. They are a small family-run operation located in the southeastern part of the state. Their hunting lands are private and strictly managed for wildlife, with over 20 miles of tree rows, dense CRP, and winding Baldhill Creek bottoms. All hunts are conducted by professional guides and well-trained pointing dogs. There is nothing better than watching great dog work and roosters exploding at your feet. In addition to the abundance of pheasant, you may also see good numbers of Hungarian Partridge. These sporting birds will add to the excitement of the hunt.
You and your hunting buddies will relax in their 6,000-square-foot deluxe lodge at each day’s end. This lodge offers both private and double occupancy rooms with private and shared bathrooms. Exclusivity is given to groups of 8 or more. In addition to their first-class lodge, you may warm up and hone in on your shooting skills at their new 5-stand clay range. Home-cooked meals, friendly Midwestern hospitality, and some of the best upland hunting in the Dakotas will create memories to last a lifetime. This outfitter limits the number of groups per year; early reservations are recommended.
