Outfitter #075

High Success Big Bull Elk In New Mexico

Description

Hunting on this 15,000 acre private elk paradise is truly a unique opportunity. This ranch contains an isolated range of hills covered with pine, pinion, and juniper. Surrounding this range of hills is flat prairie, virtually void of cover. The resident elk rarely if ever leave the ranch. Very limited hunting takes place on the ranch making it an elk sanctuary where bulls can mature to their fullest potential. Hunters can expect to utilize a mix of glassing, calling, and hiking into areas to locate a big bull. Due to a well-developed road system and gentle topography hunters can expect most of the hiking to be very low impact. The outfitter will pre-scout prior to the hunt-taking place.

Previous hunts have yielded 100% success on 300 inch or better bulls. Hunters can expect to harvest a 300-330 type of bull although much larger have been taken in recent years on the ranch. The level of consistency offered with this hunt is truly astounding.

Lodging found on the ranch consists of a simple but ample trailer house that sits in the same yard as the rancher’s home. You will be welcomed into the rancher’s home to relax and enjoy the delicious meals prepared by his wife throughout the hunt.
