Big Mule Deer in Western Colorado
Harvesting a big mule deer could be the most difficult goal in hunting. If you are that sportsman, who has been faithfully building preference points in Colorado on mule deer, this is a hunt you want to take a hard look at. Our veteran outfitter hunts a mixture of private and public property right in the heart of, arguably, the very best units in Western Colorado – units 21 & 22. They live here and know this region like the back of their hand by hunting hard for elk, lion and, of course, GIANT mule deer. Using this knowledge, along with incredible skill behind the glass, you can set your sites on a trophy buck in the 175-200”+ class before planning your stalk. WTA TAGS recommends practicing longer shots as this rim and canyon country is fairly open, but with hard work good hunting weather and a little bit of luck – this trophy mule deer hunt should fulfill the expectations of even the most discriminating sportsman.

1x1 guide, modern cabin accommodations, home-style food, in-field transportation and field care of trophies.
Flights, car rentals, hotels before/after if needed, tips, meat processing, license, tag, taxidermy and shipping trophies/meat home.
Fly to Grand Junction, CO where you will be met by the outfitter and transferred to camp.

Physical Requirement Level
Level 2 - These hunts are mostly conducted on private ranches. Species include mule deer, elk, antelope; additionally, some caribou and African plains game hunts. Moderate to light hiking each day in semi-mountainous terrain.
