Trophy Elk Hunting in the Gila National Forest
The Gila National Forest in south central New Mexico has long been considered the best area in the state for big bull elk. With the cost of landowner permits climbing each year, these hunts can easily end-up costing over $9,000 – UNLESS YOU DRAW A TAG. Drawing a tag will cut this price in half – for the exact same hunt! The odds of drawing these permits can be as good as 1:7 – especially if you’re willing to use a bow or muzzleloader. The units we will be applying you in will be among the very best in the state and 300+ inch bulls are a very realistic possibility. In fact, hunters getting lucky in the draw, have a real opportunity to harvest a bull scoring in the high 300s! With vast amounts of limited-entry public land, and seasoned outfitters who have everything from wall tents to historic lodges, WTA TAGS can help you through the process of applying and planning this dream hunt!
