August – Hunt mostly over water
September – Hunt methods will be spot and stalk along with decoying
This hunt takes place on over 150,000 acres of private land in the game rich region of southeast Montana. The most productive way to hunt late summer antelope is to use strategically placed ground blinds around active watering areas. The past several years these hunts have provided near 100% shooting opportunity at 70” – 75” bucks with potential for larger.
Accommodations include a spacious ranch house with all the amenities of home, including Wi-Fi and cell phone service. Hearty, healthy breakfasts and suppers are served family style in the dining room each day with lunches typically eaten in the field.
These hunts require drawing a permit, but the archery antelope permit in this unit is not hard to draw with the majority of applicants drawing the first year and virtually guaranteed to draw the second year with a bonus point. If you have questions regarding this hunt, would like to get booked, or would like assistance applying into the Montana draw – please contact WTA TAGS at 1-800-755 TAGS (8247).
