Alaska Brown/Grizzly Bear Hunting Guide

This hunt takes place in western Alaska at the base of the Kilbuck Mountains. The outfitter is a Master guide who’s been guiding since 1974 and operating in this same area of Alaska since 1980. He’s also an accomplished bush pilot with over 12,000 hours. The area offers excellent hunting for brown/grizzly bear, as well as an opportunity for a black bear. Success rates have been extremely high in recent years on grizzly bears in the 7-8′ range. The base camp for fall hunts consists of comfortable wall tents with wood floors and stoves and is located along a river (with great fishing) with home-cooked meals and a shower tent. You’ll be flown to a remote spike camp with your guide to hunt. Spring snowmobile hunts are conducted out of the lodge. These hunts are very popular and consist of traveling up to 100 miles a day on sleds and long days glassing in search of a mature boar. Fall hunts are offered in late September as bears are very active, feeding heavily on berries before the long winter.
