Northern Alberta is known for producing some of North America’s largest black bears. This veteran outfitter has been successfully hosting bear hunters from all over the world for over 25 years. His hunting territory is located near Slave Lake, AB, about 2.5 – 3 hours’ drive north of Edmonton. This location is ideal for hunters looking for easy access, no charters, high success and most importantly big bears. Over the past years hunters have experienced extremely high shot opportunities on bears that range from 6′ to over 7′ squared. All hunts are conducted out of modern comfortable blinds accessed by ATV or vehicle. All hunt locations are set up for both archery and rifle hunters with shot distances ranging from 10 – 40 yards. An experienced guide will accompany you every day to assure that you have a great hunting experience. Accommodations are a comfortable modern tented camps located typically within close proximity of hunt area. WIN CARD (Wildlife Identification Number)
WIN is required to purchase hunting licenses in Alberta. A WIN number is valid for five years from the date of purchase. Â Please go to https://www.albertarelm.com/licensing.page. To complete the online application and purchase, renew or replace your WIN card. Upon submission, a WIN card with your WIN number on it will be mailed to you. Be sure you give yourself enough time to receive your card before you arrive for your hunt.

Fly to Edmonton Alberta rent a car and overnight, the following morning and drive to camp approximately 2.5 hrs drive outfitter will provide driving directions
Sample Itinerary
Day 1:Fly to Edmonton and rent a vehicle and overnight. (Sunday)
Day 2:Depart Edmonton and drive about 2 1/2 hours to camp. Meet outfitter around noon. Hunt that evening (Monday)
Days 3-7: Black bear hunt. (Monday – Saturday)
Day 8:Depart camp for Edmonton and begin your return trip home. (Sunday)
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
