If your looking for a top-notch black bear hunt and have done any research then Alberta is on your radar. Northern Alberta produces some of the largest bears that Canada has to offer, and this outfitter is right in BIG bear heaven. Not only do they consistently produce big bears, but the hunter will normally see a significant percentage of color phase bears. The area is comprised of 400,000+ acres of mixed boreal forest with many rivers, and creeks. This suberb bear habitat, with no resident hunting pressure, can and does produce 500 pound bears with 20″ skulls. Constant baiting starts in mid-April and continues thru the beginning of June holding bears to a routine feeding pattern. Bait sites are accessible by ATV’S, and located away from roads allowing the hunter to enjoy the sites and sounds of this remote wilderness. Fixed tree stands will be located approximately 25 yards from the bait allowing the hunter ample viewing time to select a trophy. Except to see multiple bears in a night. This bear hunting adventure can be done in the spring or fall, with spot and stalk hunting available in the fall. These exciting fall hunts are conducted around pre-scouted oat field boundaries. In a nut-shell, if you are looking for a true big bear adventure this is your spot. Limited reservations, and early bookings a must.
Baited spring black bear hunts $4495.00. $1000 trophy fee for a second bear. $1000 refunded if you do not harvest a second bear by the end of the hunt. 2 bear limit, 6′ minimum harvest, only 1 color phase bear may be taken. Wounded bear is considered harvested.
